Knowing that being convicted would require much more extrinsic and tangible evidence, the felon and his accomplice denied to complicity of killing the victim and the liquidation of many of the victim's properties. The felon declared that he had no access to the victim's lodgings at that time, and brushed off the fact that a picking tool had been found at the scene of crime.
